Alpha Gamma Rho receives $15,589 for new BBQ grille from ASUW Special Projects Funds!
Excerpt from the Branding Iron, student Newspaper published November 17, 2006

The Associated Students of the University of Wyoming (ASUW) allocated the $40,000 set aside for the Special Projects, Tuesday at its regularly scheduled meeting. Senate Bill No. 2155 granted $15,589 to Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) for a catering / grille unit the AGR men will be building themselves for their annual events like the Earth Day BBQ in April, and the Ag Welcome Back BBQ at the beginning of the academic year.

"We're ecstatic," AGR President Ben Metcalf said, "There was a lot of debate and we worried that we weren't going to get the funds."

The complete unit will cost approximately $30,000 and in addition to the ASUW allocated funds, the AGR men raised the additional $15,000 to fund the project. The Unit will be a multipurpose grill complete with smoker and griddle components for things like pancake breakfasts and it will be available for all Recognized Student Organizations to use when hosting outdoor catering events.

"We are trying to create a more efficient, health-conscious, catering unit," Metcalf said
